their indierock still sounds rough and very tuneful, their album cover rpakking again looks great and their lyrics stay inventive and fanciful. real club diana fans - they fortunately grow in number - will already have put on their coats for a visit to the local cd shop.

i'm not sure wether club diana will complete their fiftheen album discography with steak somewhere around 2018 indeed but every album that can easily match the level of the american lo-fi-subtop - like grill does - has a right to exist on its own.

especially the fierce and crunchy songs stand out immediately but in the end there is something of everything once again. and after listening the album over and over, grill already is almost as good as its predecessor. which was very good.

i previewed it what seems like a lifetime ago but now the new club diana album is out and you'd expect no less : it is a beauty. if i wasn't so damned busy i would write a review and i will but for now be assured that the best ever club diana song is on the album it is called not tribal but tryable and there are a number of other gems which will grab you by the short and curlies straight away.

of all fiftheen songs two or three last longer than three minutes and that - in combination with the attitude that things do not have to be perfect and songs should not be polished to death - results in a high speed album that might just take you by surprise.
